A key way to travel healthy, on the go, on the road and to and from work is to set your mind to losing the hamburger bun.  Why? Because all fast food buns have a few things in common; they are high calorie, low quality, high glutton, high sugar wraps for a sandwich.  They don’t do you any favors.  In fact, if you want to help yourself pack on the pounds then make sure all of your hamburgers and sandwiches you order have the bun.  In addition to all of this, because of the nature of fast food the bun has been engineered to have a long shelf life.  This is the opposite of fresh and healthy.

In addition to providing very low quality fuel for your body, the average bun contains chemicals that can mess with your body on a molecular level without you even realizing it.  Some of these GMO ingredients include; Corn Syrup, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Cottonseed Oil, Soybean Oil, Canola Oil, Mono and Diglycerides, Maltodextrin and Dextrose.

The alternative is easy and simple.  Switching to wrapping your hamburgers and sandwiches with lettuce will improve your health and keep you on the healthy track.  Once you get the hang of it you will not even miss those worthless buns.
